This introduction is long overdue, but allow me to introduce Nicole Holstein, who is the new full-time technician in the lab...as of five months ago. Nicole comes to VCU after stints at the National Wildlife Federation and the Smithsonian Institution. In addition to helping with ongoing projects in the lab – mostly those related to saltwater intrusion – Nicole is developing an experiment that will look at competition between freshwater and brackish marsh vegetation in the context of salinity changes.
